Elf primer vs. Urban decay primer potion

Eyeshadow primer is supposed to be used before putting eyeshadow on your eyelids so that the eyeshadow will stay in place and not make creases on your eyelids throughout the day. I haven't used Urban decays primer potion but I've seen a lot of reviews on it on Youtube compared to Elf's eyeshadow primer. Elf's primer can be found at Target for only $1. Yup, thats right. $1! I've been using Elf's primer for about 4 months now and it really works and I like it. Urban decays primer potion is $20 at Sephora.

My personal experience with Toms.

Toms have been popular for the past year or two but are they really worth it? Toms range anywhere from $44+ depending on the style. I went and tried on a pair of Tom's at the mall and also a pair of shoes that look similar to Toms by the brand Bongo at K-mart. When I tried on the Toms I didn't like them at all. The bottoms of them weren't very soft and they fit strange on my feet. After that I went to K-mart and tried on the Bongo brands version of the Toms and I have to say that they are some of my favorite shoes right now. Not only are they cheaper than real Toms and look like them, they also have some type of cushion support on the bottom which makes them really soft. I wear them to work all the time and never have I came home with sore feet. They only difference in the outer appearance is that the Bongo shoes don't say "Toms" on them. You can buy Bongo's version for only $14.99 online or in stores at K-mart. I liked them so much I bought three pairs because they were buy one get one half off at the time.

Its that time of year again :(

Summer is almost here and it's that time of year again that I dread....swimsuit shopping. :(  I hate shopping for swimsuits with a passion! Nothing ever fits or looks right. The bottoms are too big or the tops too small, the one piece makes me look like someones grandma so I just stay away from the pool as much as I can! However you cant possibly stay away from swimsuits because they're everywhere! I cant even go to Walmart to buy a gallon of milk without them being right next to the checkout section. So, I have came up with a few places that sell affordable and cute swimsuits (in no particular order).

1. Forever21 - Forever 21.com has super cheap swimsuits starting at $4.80 (per piece)! And they're really cute. And on top of that they now have a plus size line that has affordable swimsuits as well.
2. Target- Target.com always has really cute designs when it comes to swimsuits. They're a little higher than Forever21 but they're still affordable.
3. Torrid- Torrid.com is a great store for women who wear a size 12+. They are a little higher than Target and Forever 21 but hey, you get what you pay for and it's still cheaper than going to Macy's to buy a swimsuit.

Cute and comfy high-low skirts

It took me probably a year to come around and actually like high-low skirts/dresses. I first noticed that they were really popular last summer. Every store I went to had them on display like Forever21, Wet Seal, and Torrid. But it wasn't until last month that I decided that I would buy a high-low dress. I ordered an all black one off of Forever21.com for only $15 and as soon as I put it on, I fell in love with it. The one thing I love about it is that its shows off just enough leg. Not too much and not too little, so its very versatile. I can wear my dress to church with some flat sandals or wear it out to eat with my friends on a friday night. It's dressy but not too dressy. The only thing that i would say is to be conscious of your height!  I'm 5'6 and my high-low dress fits perfect so the back doesn't drape the ground like a wedding train. However if your shorter (5'3 and under) the high-low style might not work for you because you might catch yourself constantly tripping over the back of it.

Feeling a little minty!

Okay, I dont know what it is but I have recently fell in LOVE with the color mint green! It's like my new favorite obsession. It all started off when I saw a girl on a plane wearing mint green nail polish. After that i went to Walmart, bought some mint green nail polish by Sally Hansen, and I've been hooked ever since! I think that both mint green & coral are going to be very popular colors for the spring/summer. I love the photo below. I don't think that you necessarily have to wear mint green from head to toe, but a little pop of mint green can spice up an outfit! My personal favorites from the photo below are the mint green skinny jean, pumps, aviator sunglasses and high-low skirt.
